Emergencies

A dental emergency is never a pleasant thing. But if you experience a dental emergency, such as a tooth that’s been cracked, damaged, or knocked out, it’s critical to get treatment from an experienced dentist as soon as possible. At ONE Dentistry, Dr. Kang has years of experience with emergency dentistry. With flexible hours and our caring, gentle approach to dental care, our team can help you get relief from pain and discomfort and restore your smile.

I knocked out my tooth! What should I do?

If you lose a permanent tooth due to a fall at work, a sports-related injury, or an automobile accident, staying calm and acting fast is essential.

First, pick up the tooth by the crown and rinse it with cool tap water to clean any dirt or debris. You should also make sure to avoid touching the roots. After rinsing your tooth, try and place it back in the socket. If it doesn’t stay in place, we recommend putting it in a glass of milk or tucking it into your cheek. Next, call us at ONE Dentistry and explain what happened. We may be able to provide you with additional tips on your way to our office.

The team sets aside time for same-day appointments and will get you in right away. If possible, try to make it to the office within 30-60 minutes of your initial injury.
